You're in Malpica

A fishing village on a peninsula: harbour on one side, beach and promenade on the other. Costa da Morte — real beaches, without the crowds.

A little history

Malpica's harbour was a whaling port in the 17th century (Basque and Cantabrian sailors). Today it remains a working inshore fishing port — market, boats, sea rhythm.

In town and nearby

  • Promenade, Nai Carrexeira sculpture and Area Maior beach — village beach and Sisargas views
  • Harbour and fish market — everyday seafaring life
  • Canido beach — next to the village, smaller
  • Punta Nariga lighthouse and Beo beach — a short hop away
  • Coast path towards the San Adrián hermitage

While your wash runs at OpenBlue, grab a drink on the promenade terraces facing the sea. Then back to beach, harbour or trail.
